As the bodies arrived, grief spread across the village, with residents gathering in large numbers to pay their last respects. People from dozens of nearby villages also reached the location to express condolences to the bereaved family.
Before the final rites, all five bodies underwent religious procedures according to customary practices. At around 9 am, prayers were held at the cemetery located in the southern part of the village. Following this, the bodies of Akhtar Jahan, Kausar Jahan, Anabia, Jalaluddin, and Sirajuddin were buried in separate graves.
While the bodies were being taken from the house to the cemetery, the health condition of deceased Akhtar Jahan’s husband Moinuddin Shah, uncle Qutubuddin, nephew Arman, and mother Azrun Nishan deteriorated. All four individuals became unconscious due to the emotional shock. Samajwadi Party MLA Mahendranath Yadav, who was present at the spot, arranged for their immediate transfer to the District Hospital through a 108 ambulance.
Following information about the incident, Member of Parliament Ramprasad Chaudhary, Hindu Yuva Vahini District In-charge Rameshchandra Kannaujia, Samajwadi Party leader Hanuman Prasad Chaudhary, Deputy Tehsildar Akanksha Srivastava, Revenue Inspector Subhash Chaubey, along with other officials and public representatives, reached the village.
The officials and representatives expressed condolences and provided support to the grieving family as the village witnessed the final farewell of five family members who lost their lives in the Mumbai rain tragedy.
